Benue Governor Approves N75,000 Minimum Wage

The Benue State Governor, Rev. Father Dr Hyacinth Lormem Alia, has approved N75,000 new minimum wage for workers.

The governor took to his social media handle to make this known on Monday.

According to Governor Alia, the decision came after through discussions with the organized labour.

Governor Alia said, “I am delighted to announce the approval of a new minimum wage of ₦75,000 for the workers of Benue State.

“This decision comes after thorough discussions with organized labour to better address the concerns of our workers.

“Our aim is to empower the men and women who keep our state moving forward. As part of this commitment, the remaining arrears will also be paid, starting this November, as budgeted.

“I want every worker in Benue to know that we are here for you. We are committed to ensuring that your labour is rewarded, your needs are met, and your concerns are addressed.”
