Governor Adeleke Presents Staff of Office to New Owa Obokun of Ijesha Land
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has presented staff of office to new Owa Obokun of Ijesha Land, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup.
Governor Adeleke took to his official social media (X) handle to share the scene of the event.
Governor Adeleke stated, “Today, I presented Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to the new Owa Obokun of Ijesha, OBA CLEMENT ADESUYI HAASTRUP.
“This historic event, last held over forty years ago, when our revered departed father, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran was presented his instrument of appointment and staff of office, signifies the beginning of another era in the history of this great kingdom.
“I charged the new Owa, to rally round all citizens of Ijeshaland, home and abroad, to ensure peace and development of Ijeshaland and the state at large, and admonished all Ijesha sons and daughters to support Kabiyesi in the development of the fatherland.
“I congratulated members and executives of the Osun State Council of Obas on the appointment of the new Owa Obokun, and urged the Council to continue to advise, support and cooperate with our Government in our ongoing task of transforming the lives of the citizens of this great State.
