Former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has called on Nigerians to extend their unwavering support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
He praised Tinubu as a leader who listens and is dedicated to addressing the challenges facing the nation.
The former governor made this appeal through a Facebook post on Saturday night, following a private visit to President Tinubu at his Lagos residence.
Kalu shared insights from their meeting, emphasizing the President’s responsiveness and commitment to governance.
In his post, Kalu stated:
“I had to pay my friend and brother of the class of 1999 Governors, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, a friendly private visit to commend his courageous strides in sailing the course of the nation and also give him the benefit of an independent assessment of the areas that require his urgent attention.”
The senator further highlighted Tinubu’s appreciation for the candid feedback and his assurance to address critical issues.
“He was so appreciative of the thoughtfulness of the visit and promised that I would, within a short while, see improvements on the issues I pointed out to him.” said, Kalu.
Kalu concluded by urging Nigerians to recognize and support Tinubu’s leadership, noting the President’s efforts to implement responsive and pragmatic governance.
“Honestly, one thing I want Nigerians to know and appreciate, is the fact that we have a listening President, who is running a responsive and pragmatic Government and hence, the need to be supported by all well meaning Nigerians.” He said.
The senator’s remarks serve as a reminder of the importance of national unity and collaboration to achieve the administration’s goals. By rallying behind President Tinubu, Kalu believes Nigerians can collectively contribute to the country’s progress and development.
