Be Modest In Expenditure To Aviod Financial Embarrassment During And After Yuletide Season- Governor Aiyedatiwa Implores Ondo Citizens

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has implored the residents of the state to be frugal in spending during this season to aviod financial embarrassment during and after the yuletide.

The governor, who took to his official X handle to share this message, made this statement while participating at this year  Christmas Carols in Akure, the state capital.

The governor said, this Christmas season is a testament to divine goodwill towards mankinds.

He stated, “It was an honour to be part of the 2024 State’s Service of Carols and Nine Lessons, yesterday (Thursday).

“This season is a testament to divine goodwill towards mankind, unfolding the great plan of redemption, worship and praise to the Almighty God for his benevolence to all His creatures.

“It is a season that reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas: love, kindness, compassion and generosity. It is a time for reflection, a time to count our blessings, and a time to recommit ourselves to the values that bring us together as a people.

“As we reflect on the outgoing year, we have every reason to appreciate God for his numerous blessings and protection over our State of remarkable testament to His endless grace is the peace and calmness we witnessed across the State, before, during and after the recent Governorship Election of 16th November, 2024, where we coasted to an unprecedented victory. It is a collective victory which we have since dedicated to God and the good people of Ondo State.

“Our celebration of Christmas and the coming New Year must reflect the realities of the moment. I implore every residents and citizens of our Dear State to be modest in their engagements and expenditures to avoid financial embarrassment during and after the Yuletide season. Our celebration must embody the virtues and principles of Christ for Jesus Christ is the reason for this season.
