Former President Goodluck Jonathan in Ghana, to monitor general election

Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has travelled to Ghana to monitor the ongoing general election in the country.

Dr Jonathan, who made this known via his official social media handle, said, he was in Ghana as a member of the West African Elders Forum, to monitor the ongoing general election.

He said, “As polls opened today across Ghana’s 16 regions, we, as members of the West African Elders Forum (WAEF), visited polling stations in Accra, the capital city, to observe the progress of the nation’s 2024 general elections.”

Dr Goodluck Jonathan wished the Republic of Ghana peaceful and successful elections.

”We wish the Republic of Ghana peaceful and successful elections in line with its reputation as a model of democracy in the sub-region.” Said, Jonathan.
