National Assembly Service Commission Appoints New Clerk For National Assembly

The National Assembly Service Commission has appointed Mr. Kamoru Ogunlana as the new Clerk of the National Assembly, following the retirement of his predecessor, Sani Magaji Tambuwal.

This announcement was made public in a statement released on Thursday and distributed to journalists by the Deputy-Director of Information of the Commission, Emmanuel Onyigor.

In an official appointment letter, signed by Engr. Ahmed Kadi, Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission, it was confirmed that Ogunlana’s tenure as Clerk will commence on January 2, 2025.

The letter stated: “The National Assembly Service Commission NASC at its 610th meeting held on Wednesday, 6th November, 2024, approved your appointment as Clerk to the National Assembly CNA, with effect from 2nd February, 2025.”

The statement highlighted Ogunlana’s “hard work and administrative competence” as key reasons for his selection, urging him to “work hard to justify the confidence reposed in him.”

Recall, before his elevation, Mr Kamoru Ogunlana was the Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly.
