National Protest: In Kogi State, Streets desert, no protest

Findings indicate that key strategic areas in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State, were largely deserted as a nationwide protest against bad governance commenced.

Security agents, including members of the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, local vigilantes, and the Federal Road Safety Corps, had barricaded several flashpoint locations. These areas include Ganaja Junction, Government House Road, Paparanda, and NATACO.

Report revealed that most shops in Lokoja remained closed due to fears of potential attacks by protesters.

However, as of 9:46 am, motorists, commercial motorcyclists, and tricycle riders continued with their daily activities.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filling this report, no protest in Kogi State as the nationwide protest commences across the country.
