Nigerian Senator from Anambra, Ifeanyi Ubah Dies In London’s Hotel
A Nigerian Senator from Anambra South, and chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, is dead.
According to report, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah died in a hotel room in London, the United Kingdom. He was said to have left Nigeria for London two days ago.
His death was also confirmed on a group chat of senators who had started to pour in tributes.
Ubah was elected Senator in 2019 on the platform of the Young Progressive Party, YPP, and reelected on that platform in 2023.
He defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, earlier this year and has indicated interest in seeking the governorship of Anambra State in next year’s election.
Recall, Senator Ubah contested the 2021 Anambra governorship election and came fourth in which Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA was declared winner.
Meanwhile, as at the time of filling this report, Nigerian Senate has yet to comment on the incident.
