NELFUND begins disbursement of loans to students
The National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has commenced disbursement of loan to Nigerian students in the higher Institutions of learning across the country.
This was disclosed in post shared via official social media (X) handle of Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu, on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Onanuga said, “NELFUND begins disbursement of loans to students.
“President Bola Tinubu presents a cheque to the Vice Chancellor, Bayero University Kano, Prof Sagir Abbas and some students during the Presidential launch of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.”
Recall, Student Loan a financial program put in place by President Bola Tinubu, supervised by National Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, seeking to render financial assistance to Nigerian students in the higher institutions of learning, including technical colleges.
Report revealed that over 100,000 Nigerian students have enrolled and applied for the loan.
