Amid economic challenges in Nigeria, former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Otunba Femi Fani-kayode, has urged Nigerians to continue to have faith in God and President Bola Tinubu’s Government.
Fani-kayode took to his official social media (X) handle to share his words of consolation and comfort to Nigerians as they are currently passing through economic challenges.
Fani-kayode said, “Things are tough but I urge Nigerians to hang in there and continue to have faith in God and in our Government who in my view are trying their best in the circumstances.
“We have chosen a difficult, challenging yet necessary path to economic recovery and despite the undoubted pain that we are ALL experiencing we must stay the course, swallow the bitter pill, make the necessary sacrifices and see our journey to the expected end in order to establish a better tomorrow for our children and loved ones.
“This is not the time to play party politics or to blame one another but rather to encourage each other, join hands, assist the Government, have faith in God and move the country forward together.
“The Lord never told us that it would be easy but be rest assured of one thing: He didn’t bring us this far to leave us.
“Never forget that our beloved Nigeria is a great and powerful country and our people are proud, decent, civilised, loving, accommodating, resilient, strong, wealthy, honorable and noble.
“We are not a nation of poverty striken, classless, corrupt barbarians and peasants who are habitual failures and who lack decency and culture as some who have nothing but contempt and disdain for us would have you believe.
“We are bigger and better than that and we shall not fail, we shall not fall and we shall not be ashamed..
“We shall climb every mountain and overcome every valley. We shall rise up like the Eagle and fly over the storm.
“We shall be as lions and move forward fearlessly knowing that God is with us and that He never forsakes His own.
“We shall overcome our numerous challenges and we shall rise again.
“I urge you to be strong and bold and to have courage and faith for our collective future.
“Regardless of all we feel and see and the fear, frustration and desperation we witness in the land, it is well with us and He that is high and lifted up whose train fills the temple shall NEVER leave us or forsake us!
“God bless you, friend and foe alike, and God bless our beloved motherland, the Federal Republic of Nigeria!”
