President Bola Tinubu has named an Abuja highway- the Arterial Road N20 from Northern Parkway to Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX)- as Professor Wole Soyinka Highway.
According to Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, the decision of Mr President followed the recommendation by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) administration.
In naming the road after the distinguished playwright, poet and novelist who clocks 90 on 13 July, President Tinubu said, Soyinka merits the honour being the first African to win the Nobel Literature prize which brought honour and fame to this country.
Recall, Professor Wole Soyinka was the first African to win the Nobel Literature Prize, and brought glory and fame to Nigeria in West Africa.
Indeed, naming an Abuja Highway after Professor Wole Soyinka, is a good development on the path of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
