Don’t divide the Body of Christ to prove your doctrinal point of view – Pastor Poju Oyemade advises Church leaders

The international clergyman, televangelist, founder and general overseer of Covenant Nation worldwide, Pastor Poju Oyemade, has advised church leaders not to divide the Body of Christ to prove their doctrinal point of view.

Pastor Oyemade made this known via his official social media (X) handle.

Below: Full details of Pastor Oyemade’s message on the subject matter :

“Don’t divide the Body of Christ to prove your doctrinal point of view provided the doctrines in question do not violate the Lordship of Jesus or encourage people to sin.

“Keeping the unity of faith in the bond of perfection, which is love, is the ultimate goal.

“Paul was the apostolic teacher on the new creature in Christ and redemption realities. He also understood the law perfectly and knew that Christ was the end of the law for righteousness today.

“However, Paul wasn’t judgemental or critical. When people either out of ignorance or sincerity chose certain practices as their way of honouring the Lord, Paul didn’t tamper with their faith.

“These positions were taken from a good disposition in their hearts unto the Lord, and Paul knew the spiritual dangers of trying to use his knowledge to deaden their consciences in those practices.

“He clearly said let no one judge you in respect of “sabbath days,” a practise in Judaism. It went both ways.

“Colossians 2:16
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

“He clarified this thought in the book of Romans, saying so long as it is done in honour of the Lord, provided it is not a sinful practise, leave the people alone. You have no right to impose on others.

(Romans 14:5-6.)

“One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

“He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

‘The issue is when a doctrine leads people into sin and lasciviousness. If the doctrine makes people comfortable with sin, then there is an issue with it, and those who teach that will be judged directly by Jesus Christ.

“These types of doctrines are what Christ is against.

(Revelation 2:14-15).

“But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

“So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.

“Knowledge can puff up and open one to chastisement from God. True spiritual knowledge is always relational.

“This is why John said these things we teach that you may have fellowship with us, and truly, our fellowship is with God and Jesus. Always improves your love walk to God and man.

“Read Paul’s letters after the first half of doctrinal truths he then speaks on its application, and it’s always relational.

‘Husbands behave this way to wives, wives this to hisbands. Fathers provoke not, children obey. Servants serve this way, and masters do not oppress.

“To argue over ways people have chosen to serve or honour God and the Lord Jesus Christ is stepping beyond your boundaries.”
