The President of Rotary International, Mr. Gordon McInally, has bestowed President Bola Tinubu with honorary membership of the global association.
The Special Adviser to President Tinubu, on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, made this known via his office X handle.
According to Onanuga, the honour was bestowed on President Tinubu Friday, when Mclnally led his wife, Heather, Rotary’s Polio Ambassador to Nigeria, Sir Emeka Offor and other prominent members of the group to a meeting with President Tinubu.
Mclnally said President Tinubu was honoured for his longstanding reputation for supporting healthcare interventions for disadvantaged Nigerians throughout his public service career.
Mclnally also gave Health Minister, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate honorary membership.
