President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerian governors to set aside political differences and collaborate with the federal government to build the nation.
According to the Special Adviser to President Tinubu, on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Mr President made this known while breaking the Ramadan fasting with governors on Thursday, at the State House in Abuja.
President Tinubu acknowledged the difficulties facing the nation, but expressed optimism about the future.
He said the challenges are beginning to respond to the solutions being implemented by his administration.
Mr President said he is glad that the headwinds are almost over, and that the tunnel is not as dark as when he took over the leadership of this country.
”I am glad that the headwinds are almost over. The tunnel is not as dark as when we started. It is going to be brighter and brighter. We must communicate with each other, stick together, and share joy,” said, President Tinubu.
The President emphasized the importance of transitioning from politics to governance, noting the need for unity and cooperation among all stakeholders.
”Since we recognize the need to build our nation together, the time for politics is over. It is now time for governance.” President Tinubu said.
Mr President urged the governors to cooperate with his government, and share love among each other.
”We are of the same family and parents; living in the same house, but sleeping in different rooms. We must cooperate and spread love among each other.” President Tinubu said.
Recall, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, took over the leadership of this country on May 29, 2023, after his victory at presidential election held on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Since, his government was inaugurated, he and his team have been working round the clock to ensure that Nigerians have access to dividend of democracy in the country.
