The former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr Reno Omokri, has taken to his official X to applaud President Bola Tinubu for reopening of border with Niger Republic.
Reno said: “Reopening the border was a genius move on the part of President Tinubu.
“He opened the border, and within 48 hours, the cement price crashed. Rice was reduced marginally in border areas. And Indomie Noodles is now slightly more affordable. Undoing the damage wreaked on our economy will take time. But With steps like the border reopening, it is possible.”
Recall, on Wednesday, following the ECOWAS recommendations, President Bola Tinubu ordered the reopening of border with Niger Republic, and other sanctions were also lifted.
